Expert guides who conduct their own research and conservation projects will, lead us to important sites for birdwatching that include Kitulgala next to the Kelani River, and the Sinharaja Forest Reserve, both renowned for being some of the best locations to see the vast proportion of Sri Lanka's lowland endemics. The highlands around Nuwara Eliya and the picturesque Yala National Park are also prime spots for observing Sri Lanka's unique bird species.
